August Read

I didn’t have time to read many books in August, so here is Kaia Alderson’s SISTERS IN ARMS—loved it!

This story engaged from the very beginning.

It is about two women who have nothing in common other than service to a country that mistreats them—they rise above.

It made me sad, but also made me laugh and smile.

I loved the mix of music and romance; I grieved the horror of the South, and the wrongness of what Black persons experienced while fighting a war for our country.

It inspires me to stand firm and keep saying that we can do better.

So glad for this book, helping me as I seek to understand the real sins of our past. Outstanding Kaia, big thanks to the publisher and all involved for this book.

More of this!
